Description

This Girl Scout Handbook has a subtitle of “Intermediate Program.” It has a copyright of 1947 by the Girl Scouts of the United States of America. This copy is the Ninth Impression, printed in May of 1951. It includes 525 pages of instructions and useful information for Girl Scouts. There is an index in the back and a page for autographs. Five people have signed the autograph page. At the center of the book, there is a green and gold handmade bookmark. Front and back inside covers have drawings of the world map. The handbook has been covered by a handmade paper cover (very faded green). The front has a cut-out of the Girl Scout logo with the label, “G. S. HANDBOOK”. The book back has three stickers: a gold Girl Scout seal, a gold and blue 3-leaf clover seal, and a handmade label reading, “Girl Scout Hand-Book.”
