Description
Eight-year-old Carol Hurd was crowned the new Junior Waterama Queen as part of the Kiddie Parade activities in the city park bandshell. Carol was crowned by Jr. Queen Dyanne Opdahl. Queens seem to run in the Hurd family since Carol's oldest sister, Diana Lynn Hurd Chapman, was Glenwood Waterama Queen two years ago. Brenda Braaten was chosen as alternate from a field of 15 candidates.
