"Municipal Ownership Means a Staggering Debt on All the Homes of Red Wing." Pamphlet urging citizens to vote "no" on a bond referendum in 1919 for $350,000 for a Municipal Lighting Plant. Arguments include the fact that only about half the people in Red Wing use electric light, comments on debt already carried by the city, and fear of socialism: "Socialism and Government Ownership Ruined Germany.
