Description
Violin maker's tool - specialty carving tool. "Tool consists of iron curved, narrow spoon device, fitted into a curved wooden bowl-like piece. The wood is covered with natural design of lines, dots, islands. A wooden rivet holds device in place in bowl. Overall length is 14.5 inches, handle is 7 inches and bowl proportion is 5". A handmade tool. Held in place by wire hook."Hans Dunham was a violin maker.
The tool is now mounted on a plain board with 2 large metal staples. The wooden cover for the tool is nailed to the same board.
