Description
Postcard of workers setting kiln burners at Red Wing Sewer Pipe Co., Red Wing, Minn. Red Wing Sewer Pipe Company was founded in 1891. It consolidated with John H. Rich Sewer Pipe company in 1901 (also based in Red Wing, founded in 1892). The company operated two plants: Plant A on Tannery Road (now Featherstone Road) and Plant B on Jackson and Main Street. The company was sold in 1964 and ceased operations in 1973. Plant B burned down in 1955, after being out of use since around 1937, and Plant A was demolished in 1989.
