Memorial announcement or program for Anita Beck (wife of Lewis Israel Garrard Beck), 1920-1987. Lewis Israel Garrard Beck was the son of Evelyn Garrard Beck (daughter of George and Virginia Garrard) and the step-son of Emmanuel Chester Beck. He was the great grandson of Israel Garrard. Items belonged to Florence Danielson Strupe (donor's aunt). Florence was born in Little Falls, WI to August and Petra Danielson on 10/12/1900. She came to Old Frontenac in 1921. She was the nanny of Lewis Israel Garrard Beck (born 1920), son of Evelyn Beck who was the daughter of George and Virginia Garrard. George Garrard was the son on General Israel Garrard and lived at Winona Cottage. Florence married Benjamin Strupe on 2/13/1925. Benjamin was born on 10/31/1899 to Henry Strupe of Old Frontenac. Benjamin and Florence moved to Minneapolis and returned to Old Frontenac in 1964. They lived at Little Dacotah Cottage. Florence died on 5/12/1995. She was considered by many to be the matriarch of Old Frontenac and was the local historian.
