Doily in hexagonal shape. Made of cotton Indian head - a popular fancy work fabric of its time, with heavy crocheting in triple loop design around the edges. 20" across. Handmade and carefully done, this doily graced either the tops of dressers, or the tops of buffets in the dining room. Kept for years and treasured as the work of some member of the family , often long ago.
