Description
"These five pieces of pottery were dug by me at the same time I excavated the prehistoric pottery jug (see 66.1.246). While this pottery has been buried for maybe hundreds of years, notice how it still retains its perfect coloring because of the types of dyes the Indians used."

The largest piece is 3 inches, it has a swirl of reddish brown outlined in white and black with a black striped background.
The 2nd piece is about 2 inches and is decorated on both sides. It has a reddish brown background with a gray stripe on one side and many black lines on the other side.
The 3rd piece is 1 3/4 inches and is rough clay with the coiling technique still visible. The other side is painted black.
The 4th piece is 2 inches long and in the shape of a sharp triangle. It is glazed on both sides with reddish brown background and black markings.
The 5th piece is 1 3/8 inches and is roughly square in shape. It is decorated on only one side with black and white stripes.
