Photograph of Susan Camille Johnson Welsch as Miss Minnesota 1988. Susan is wearing a white, one-shouldered evening dress with pearl beading. She is wearing pearl and diamond drop earrings and her crown. Susan was the first runner-up at the Miss Minnesota pageant, but when Gretchen Carlson became Miss America, Susan became Miss Minnesota. Susan donated 2 copies of this black and white photograph when we asked for a photo to go along with our exhibit "A Century of Changing Fashion," which opened in February 1995.
