Description
Horsehide blanket. Brown horsehide leather blanket. It once belonged to Oliver Hagen. The brown hide is lined with a brown wool lining with a light brown felt fringe around the edge. 59 x 53 inches. It is from 1924 and was processed by Oliver Hagen from his horse.Blankets such as this were used to keep riders warm in sleighs and buggies and were often called carriage blankets.
