Description
This is a 16-4/10X 10-8/10cm sepia photograph titled "N.W. Scott Residence and the Printing Office" from 1876. He was the editor of the Pope County Press in 1877. According to the WPA papers, it was located on lot 7 & 8, block 23. The North side of 1st Ave SW between Franklin and 1st Street. Where Someplace Safe offices are located in 2014. The building was moved to lot 8 and used as the north wing of the Frank Eddy residence. It later became part of the Glenwood Funeral Home. Mr. & Mrs. Scott and their daughters are in the photo.Related People and Organizations
