This is a 16-4/10X 10-8/10cm sepia photograph titled "Stanley's Shop" from 1876. The Stanley's shop was a horse and ox shoe shop.According to J.G. Whittemore in 1940, James Stanley's Blacksmith Shop was located on Lot 1 Block 24. (The southwest corner of Minnesota Avenue and 1st Street SE.) Pictured L-R: James Stanley, Robert Farquher, Joseph Peacock and Michel Rue.
Robert Farquher had taken over the shop as of 1876.
