Description
Pair of leather mittens with sheepskin. 14 inches long, flaring into deep cuffs, 7 inches deep and 9 inches across. Sheep skin is brown with matted skin under side. Palms and thumbs are of shorn skin. Inner lining is of black rep quilted in white. A dip at outer side.
These mitss come from the days when horses pulled slighs about the snowy countryside over rough roads. The driver stood out in fron of the sleigh in a long coat, fur cap and mittens.
