Description
"Silver butter dish of 3 parts - bowl, drainer, and cover, is quadruple plated. It has 2 plain handles with fancy raised ornaments and a fancy knife rest on bowl. The bowl measures 7" across the top and has a 3/4" rim leaving a center measurement of 5.5" diameter and is approximately 1.25" deep. There is no engraving on the bowl. A drainer with a 0.5" hole is center, with a wide fancy engraving pattern surrounding it, fits into this bowl. The cover is satin finish, beautifully engraved and raised with four identical leaf and flower patters between each is engraved one fact of Dec. 25th 1899 Enderlin, ND. The overall height of this butter dish is 7.5". It was a silver wedding gift to Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Thompson's by their Enderlin friends."
