Description

Carnival ride model made by Carl White. This model represents the “Merry-go-round.” It is the first model made by Carl White. He enjoyed riding Glenwood's Carousel as a boy and wanted to buy it after World War II, but when he returned from service, it was gone and he could find no record of what happened to it. So after 30 years of searching, he made this model. There are 12 black or white horses that move up and down as the ride rotates. There are also two white wooden seats containing dolls. There are several dolls standing along the edge. The ride has an electric motor which powered the ride. The top of the ride is covered with a brown fabric tent and topped with a pearl like spire. The ride itself is white and covered in little rhinestones, foil stars, and clear Christmas lights.
