Description

Wall hanging, woven in bands, 28" x 22.5". Respectively, from top to bottom, bands are: a black weave with red and green woven interior motives; turquoise weave with 3 red eight-pointed stars and 2 brown Xs embroidered on; one plain black weave; a thin turquoise weave in a rippling pattern; 3 consecutive woven bands of green, turquoise and moss green with 3 brown eight-pointed stars on the turquoise band, black embroidered geometric motives framing the stars, and 4 red embroidered geometric motives, one on either side of the central black frame above the turquoise band, and one on either side of the central black frame beneath the turquoise band; another thin, woven rippling turquoise band; a black woven band of two shades of black, a turquoise woven band with 3 red eight-pointed stars and 2 brown Xs embroidered on; ending with a woven black band with red and green woven interior motives. Fringed at top and bottom with short, white, knotted warp threads.
