Description
Tuba - E Flat upright silver tone Bass used in the Villard Community band in 1916. It was played by William Pennie. The band disbanded two years later and was then used in the new high school band by Murton Pennie in 1920-1924. It stayed in the school band until about 1950. After 1950 it was played by Murton Pennie in the Alexandria Community band and the senior citizen band. Murton then played it regularly in the Tooten Gramps until it became worn out and retired to the Pope County Museum.
Made by C. G. Conn Co., Elkhart, Indiana. Purchased as a rebuilt second hand horn.
