No. 38 Neatha Hickman 1942Description
"This mulberry colored bowl is in the form of a duck with molded head and bill on one side; tail with etched feathers opposite. It is five inches in diameter and is an exact replica of a bowl taken from an excavation of an ancient Cherokee settlement in North Carolina. This bowl was made by Neatha Hickman in 1942 under the direction of Mrs. Blanchard, the matron of the Indian School. See 66.1.275 for matching white duck."Related People and Organizations
