Description
3 brown canvas banners with insignia. World War I era. "Engineer Corps. US Army, Twenty-ninth Engineers AEF". Rectangular. Insignia traced out in pencil or stamped on. a) White canvas. Insignia partially painted. b) Brown canvas. Insignia partially painted. c) Brown canvas. Insignia not painted. d) Brown canvas. Insignia partially painted. Insignia description: Circular. 1/2" boarder with 13 white stars. Center has an eagle with wings spread. Frond in left talons, arrows in right talons. Banner in beak with "Photography" "Ranging" "Topography". Above banner is a small fortress (Engineer symbol) with "Printing" under it. An "H" - 13 vertical stripes. "Engineer Corps -- U.S. Army" at top and "Twenty-ninth Engineers A.E.F" at bottom of circle.
