Description
Navy uniform (3 piece) blouse, pants, and tie from World War II. Blouse and pants are dark blue wool. Navy shirt/blouse long sleeves with 3 white stripes on cuffs, wide collar falls down back with 3 stripes. There are two stars on either bottom corner of the backflap. Patch on viewers left sleeve, black with white eagle and crossed gun barrels and 3 red chevrons. There are threads remaining from a patch on the viewers right shoulder. Pants (b) with button drop fly; laced at back with 2 pockets, c) tie: 50'' length, rolled in center with band has small metal clip on label. Faint handwritten inscription on back inside hem of jumper. The size of the trousers is 32L with CARPENTER and serial number. Trousers also have a 13 button broadfall front opening, and a lace up back. TIE: secured around and under back flap. Worn by donor.
