Description
World War II military uniform jacket, green wool. Jacket belonged to Milton E. Johnson, who was not overseas but likely served in the American Campaign. There are insignia pins on each lapel. One is U.S. and the other has crossed propellers and wings. On the viewers left breast is green patch with a gold eagle in a gold circle. On the right breast is a service ribbon with blue background and black, red and white vertical stripes, signifying American campaign. On the viewers left sleeve is a green patch with gold laurel wreath signifying Meritorious Unit Citation conduct. On the viewers right shoulder is a blue circle patch with a white and red star with gold wings signifying Army Airforces. Handwritten on the line near the neckline in black ink is " M. Johnson " and "JOHN".
