Description
Postcard with an image of "Martin Sorenson's Casino" theater, with water tower behind it and small bandshell in lower left corner. Written on front, "Milaca Opera House, Milaca, Minn." On reverse is correspondence in pencil, to Pvt. Edwin W. Erickson with an APO address to "American Expeditionary Forces." Postmarked Oct 23, 1918 from Milaca. Letter transcribed in ink on an accompanying envelope. "Dear Brother Ed, It is long ago since we heard from you last, and do not know what is the matter. Hope you are feeling good and isn't sick. School in Milaca has closed on account of the Spanish Influenza. There are quite a number of cases around here. We are all well which we will try to be by staying at home as much as possible from town and other places. We hope to hear from you soon. From your loving Brother, Ted." Edwin was a 1917 MHS graduate, Theodore a 1922 MHS graduate.
