Description

This painting, by artist Randy Redunz (Stillwater, Minnesota, 1998-99), depicts the historic buildings in place at Gammelgården Museum prior to 2002 (when the Welcome House was added to the property). Some drawings are "hidden" in the painting: horse (right end of fence), tractor (barn), cow (basement of the barn), Model A Ford (right of Barn and Immigrant House), and Annie Nelson Johnson and her cat (clouds above the barn). Note that there are two Immigrant Houses since the artists painted from each side of the canvas and then came to the center. There is only one Immigrant House at Gammelgården Museum.
