Description
This "Sick Call Set" enabled a priest to perform mass and sacraments in the homes of parishioners.  It consists of a wooden carrying case lined with purple satin; metallic alloy instruments including a candelabra with a crucifix that breaks down for transportation, a paten (a plate used in holy communion); 2 vessels (or vessel with lid?) of unknown use, a brush known as an aspergillum used for sprinkling holy water, and a glass bottle for holy water. The set also holds 3 holy cards in Flemish (or maybe Dutch) on one side and English on the other commemorating the life of Marie Van Hecke.
