Description

Small red building with woman at the door. There are three grassy areas surrounded by water. Kurbits are on the left and right edges. There is a green and red ribbon trim on the bottom; and a red and pink ribbon design on the top of the artwork. The design was created using a pencil first and then the artist painted the image. She used sepia ink for the lines to accent the image. This is an original piece of art by Linda Allen, completed in 1998. The artwork is in a gold frame.

Linda Allen is a second-generation American. All of her grandparents emigrated from Sweden. Some of her fondest memories are her grandmother's glowing tales of family life in Sweden. Linda has drawn upon her heritage as a source of inspiration for her painting.
