Description

This doll belongs to an ethnic group in Southeast Asia. She is wearing a black embroidered headscarf adorned with silver coins. She has a black embroidered shirt and black fold-over wrap skirt with orange embroidery. She is wearing silver earrings, necklaces, and cuff bracelets.

Geographic Notes
The dolls were donated to Hmong Museum by Robin Osborne Chaney in May 2017. Chaney received the dolls from their mom, Clarice Osborne. Clarice Osborne bought the dolls from Vanida, a doll maker in Vientiane, Laos around 1970 to 1973.
