Description
This embroidered panel is used to decorate Miao clothing. It was made prior to 1990 by members of the Miao community in Guizhou Province, China. This embroidered panel is one of the pieces that were taken from existing jackets that were no longer in use. Linn Veltema acquired the object while traveling to Guizhou Province, China in 1999 from a Chinese collector.
This piece have purple embroidery on a black fabric. There is a bright pink border along the purple embroidery. The edges on this piece if unfinished.
