Description

“Kha Tong Luaeng” is labeled on the bottom of the wooden block that the doll is kneeling on. She is holding a bamboo woven rice basket while her hair is wrapped as a scarf and face painted. This doll belongs to the Kha Tong Lueng or Phi Tong Luang group in thailand and Laos.

Geographic Notes
Bought in Vientiane, Laos by Clarice Osborn in the early 1970s. Osborn brought them with her to the US in Brenham, TX.
