Description
This embroidered panel is use to decorate Miao clothing. It was made prior to 1990 by members of the Miao community in Guizhou Province, China. This embroidered panel is one of the pieces that were taken from existing jackets that were no longer in use. Linn Veltema acquired the object while traveling to Guizhou Province, China in 1999 from a Chinese collector.
There is a turquoise fabric bordering a deep blue fabric with a design of an animal. There are a variety of unidentified animals throughout the cloth.
