Description

“Meo Khan” is labeled on the bottom of the wooden block the doll is standing on. She is holding a paj ntaub applique. She is wearing an applique black hat with a black and white stripe ribbon and a black shirt with blue and black striped on the sleeves. She is wearing black pants with a front and back black and blue striped aprons and green and pink sash. She has silver earrings, necklaces and bracelets. The doll belongs to the ethnic group, Hmong, in northern Laos.

Geographic Notes
Bought in Vientiane, Laos by Clarice Osborn in the early 1970s. Osborn brought them with her to the US in Brenham, TX.
