Description

“Muey” is labeled on the bottom of the wooden block the doll is kneeling on. She's wearing a black and white woven scarf on her head with a black shirt and red lining and a purple fold-over wrap skirt. She is also wearing silver earrings, a necklace and bracelet cuff on each wrist. Muey is holding two woven baskets with fruits on a stick. She is wearing an attire that belongs to Southeast Asia ethnic communities.

Geographic Notes
Bought in Vientiane, Laos by Clarice Osborn in the early 1970s. Osborn brought them with her to the US in Brenham, TX.
