Description

A Hmong flintlock musket that is 48 1/2 inches. The metal ignition of the flintlock musket is rusted. There are eight brass barrel bands keeping the barrel secure to the stock. The two barrel bands on the stock end are rusted while the other six still have their brass color. There is an animal pelt (lub tsuam pob) attached to the flintlock musket by a string. There is a twine (txoj hlua rub tus ncauj qa) tied on the ignition.

Geographic Notes
Donor acquired the flintlock musket in Phou Pha Thi, Laos. Brought it with him to Santa Maria, CA. Donated to Hmong Museum in St. Paul, MN.
