Description

Black beaver top hat. Has black ribbon edge trim, black brim binding, and a brown leather lining. The inside is stamped “Carnahan & Brown, Jamestown, N.Y.".

This hat is believed to have belonged to Reverend John Pehrson, first permanent pastor of Elim Church from 1862-63.
