Description

Three piece blue and yellow banner that hung across 10th Street in Worthington. The center panel has "Welcome To Worthington" stitched on it. We are unable to determine at what time this banner hung. Clare's husband, Willie Fenske, worked for the Electric Department in Worthington from the 1960's to 1990s. It was their job to hang banners like this across the streets using the Department bucket truck. Looks like Willie took this banner home when it was no longer in use. Can be seen in the photo 2017.073.0005.PC from 1969.
