Description
A doll, female, made of wire, cloth, wood, thread and paint. She wears the traditional folk dress, or folkdräkt, of Herrestad, Skåne, Sweden, featuring a red skirt, a vertically-striped ½-apron tied with a red ribbon, an antique white blouse with a scalloped collar and cuffs, a beige vest with green trim over a black bodice with an embroidered floral detail, a red headdress with red ribbons, white stockings, white bloomer shorts, and natural wood shoes. The doll features two yellow thread braids tied with red ribbon and a painted face. Original Gammelgården artifact number: D-0323-12. Tag: “Charlotte Weibull, Malmo, Sweden.”
