Description
Female doll made of cloth, wire, wood and thread.  Depicts a traditional provincial Swedish folk dress, or folkdräkt, outfit that includes a red skirt, a white ½-apron, a black vest with red thread closure, a white blouse with a lace edged collar and clear beads for a ‘pin’, an iridescent cap with embroidery and lace, white stockings and bloomers and black ‘leather’ shoes.  The doll has a pair of yellow (blonde) braids with red ties and painted facial features.  Original Gammelgården artifact number D-0819-23.  Attributed to Charlotte Weibull.
