Description
A female doll made of cloth, wire, wood and thread.  Depicts the traditional provincial folk dress, or folkdräkt, of Villands Härad, Skåne, Sweden.  The outfit includes a green skirt, a ½-apron of vertical stripes in red, green, yellow, blue and white with a black, red and green braid waistband tied on the left side, a green brocade vest over a dark red bodice, a white blouse with scalloped collar and cuffs, black stockings, white bloomers and natural wood shoes.  The doll has a pair of yellow (blonde) braids tied with red ribbon and painted facial features.  A blue booklet is stapled to the skirt, with the sticker “Skane, Villand Härad” on the front, and a handwritten letter within.  The letter commemorates a 30th anniversary.  Original Gammelgården artifact number D-0321-12.  Attributed to Charlotte Weibull.  The doll has a white metal doll stand.
