Description
A female doll made of cloth, wire, wood and thread.  Depicts the traditional provincial folk dress, or folkdräkt, of Vingåker, Södermanland, Sweden.  The outfit includes a red skirt, a green ½-apron with horizontal red and yellow stitched bands and a black trim at the hem with stitched red and yellow scalloped detail, a white blouse, a yellow vest with pink and blue stitched details, a white hat, green stockings, white bloomers and black wood shoes.  The doll has yellow (blonde) thread hair worn in a bun and painted facial features.  Original Gammelgården artifact number D-0320-12.  Fabric “Charlotte Weibull” tag attached to interior of skirt.
