This Souvenir School Card, from the April 3 through December 8 of 1899 school term of School District no. 47, lists the name of the teacher as well as the 28 students, or “Scholars”, with printed flora and filigree surrounding the text of the card. The names are listed as follows:
“Alma Olson, Manda Gilbertson, Gustav Gilbertson, Oscar Hough, Clara Hough, Oscar Shulstad, Olga Shulstad, Ole Arneson, Marius Tollofson, Emma Erickson, Selma Osten, Sena Skadsem, Emma Bredsen, Hilda Bredsen, Martin Gilbertsen, Carl Gilbertsen, Benny Gilbertsen, Inga Hough, Thora Hough, Oliver Shulstad, Bessie Shulstad, Thomas Tollofson, Olena Tollefson, Oscar Erickson, Clarence Melbostad, Martin Skadsem, Melvin Bredsen, Nellie Moll”.
Affixed to the card is a small, black-and-white photograph of a young woman, and a sticker with the following information typed upon the sticker: “B C Gilbertson Barnesville Minnesota”. The same name sticker is fixed to the back of the card with a hand-written inscription below it: “Bennie Gilbertson From Mary C Amundson”.
