Description

A painted porcelain female doll depicting the provincial folk dress of Västergötland, Sweden.  The outfit includes a red skirt, a red jacket with gold trim and black cuffs with gold trim, a light blue blouse, a blue ½-apron with an olive-colored graphic pattern and white trim, a black cap with white trim, red stockings and black shoes.  The female doll features brown painted hair and painted facial features.  The base is white with a gold-colored band and greenery behind the legs.  Printed on the base: “Ljung Souvenir, Sweden, Västergötland, Handmålad”.  Original Gammelgården artifact number D-0369-13.  Handmade, Ljung Souvenir.
