Description

A white cotton tablecloth with blue embroidery.  Stitched in four sections on each of the sides of the cloth is the following: “Sa Yster, Vi Ost, Sa Kjerner, Vi Smör”.  Stitched in the four corners are images of a girl working a butter churn, a wooden pail, a girl stirring something in a large cauldron over a fire, and a block (of butter?) and a knife on a plate.  The edges of the cloth are scalloped and stitched in the same blue.  Unattributed.
