Description

A female doll made of cloth, wire, wood, yarn, thread and paper.  Depicts traditional provincial Swedish winter folk dress, or folkdräkt.  The costume includes a grey dress, a ½-apron with vertical stripes in red, pink, green, black and white, a red knit scarf, a red cap and mittens, red stockings, and natural wood shoes.  The doll features a pair of yellow (blonde) thread braids tied with red ribbon and holds a Christmas package wrapped in silver paper tied with red ribbon.  See also DD-0193-26 and DD-0196-26 for similarly attired dolls.  Attributed to Charlotte Weibull.
