Description
Brass clothes iron with wooden handle. It has a door in the rear that can be raised to remove and install a piece of cast iron that could be heated to provide the heat source for the iron. Made prior to 1806. Taken from Finland to Swede nin18?? brought to America in 72 Manufactured in Finland before 1806, this clothes iron was taken to Sweden in the mid-19th century and brought to America in 1872 by John Olund, who later settled in Indian Lake Township.
