Description

Rattan sewing basket is lined with teal fabric. The lid is padded and covered in red material. The inside has various sewing supplies, such as, needles, thread, ribbon and a sewing kit with needles and a thimble. Attached to the inside of the cover is a 3 x 5 card with the following typewritten " Sewing Basket., From Amsterdam, Holland. Brought to this country by Mrs. Frank Hesse, Mother of Mrs. Gerrit Roggen, about 1865. Donated by Mrs. Gerrit Roggen." Taken/Studio/Manufacture: Circa: 1860
