Description
A female doll made of cloth, wire, thread and wood.  Depicts traditional provincial Swedish folk dress, or folkdräkt.  Her outfit includes a red dress with a ruffled, scalloped white collar, a ½-apron with vertical stripes in red, black, white, blue, green and yellow and with a red waistband and ties, and a red headband with a horizontal band of metallic thread and red ribbon.  She has a pair of yellow (blonde) braids worn pinned up at her ears and painted facial features.  Her lower body is formed by a wood post and round wood base.  “Jill Johnson” written in black ink on the bottom of the base, but the doll is attributed to Charlotte Weibull.
