Description

A triangular wool scarf with floral print and fringe.  The off-white wool has flowers in pink, red and blue with greenery.  The long side is un-hemmed and features self-fringe.  The other two sides are hemmed and have knotted off-white yarn fringe spaced approx. 1" apart.  Part of a child's traditional provincial folk dress, or folkdräkt, outfit from Leksand, Dalarna, Sweden.  See also C-0432a-25 through C-0432g-25 for the other pieces of this costume.  Purchased in Sweden in 1937.  Unattributed.
