Description
Black military unform of Melvin Brownell, resident and former mayor of St. Charles Minnesota in Winona County. Uniform consists of a) long sleeve wool sweater, b) pants with buttons down the front and on the pockets c) jacket with three strips lining the collar and two stars of the back of the collar, with a patch on the left arm distinguishing him as a member of the hospital unit of the navy, and that he was second class and d) a neckerchief with undistinguished lettering on the back.
