Description

A red wool men's vest with a stand-up collar, seven pewter buttons with a folk pattern, two pockets at the hips, an adjustable strap on the back, and black nylon lining.  Worn as part of a traditional Swedish folk costume, or folk dress.  This particular vest was worn by chip-carver Walter Grittner, who carved at Gammelgarden Museum until the age of 98.  Unattributed.
