Description

A red silk frame cap, or hat, with machine embroidered floral detailing in pink, yellow, blue, black and white thread, and with a sild ‘bow' on the back hem.  Lined with beige linen.  Silk over cardboard.  The hat is worn as part of a traditional provincial folk dress, or folkdräkt, outfit from Soderhamn, Gavleborg, Sweden.  See also C-0177a-09 through C-0177h-09 for the other pieces of this costume.  Unattributed.
