Harvey Rust Token

Creation Date

1920 – 1950

Description

This item is a vintage "metal typer" souvenir token, made from aluminum by a machine found at tourist locations in the mid-20th century. These machines allowed users to emboss custom text onto pre-stamped blanks, this one featuring a four leaf clover good luck symbol on back and a United States flag on front. The token includes the text "Bigelow Minnesota" and "Harvey Rust". These tokens are known as exonumia, these items are collected for their personalized history and specific location mentions.
